لماذا تسمى باريس مدينة الانوار؟ Why Paris is called the City of Lights

يتفق الكثيرون من الناس ان باريس هي اجمل المدن السياحية في العالم ولكنها اكتسبت لقب مدينة الانوار منذ بضع مئات من السنين وذلك لانها كانت مركزا فكريا وفنين بعد القرن السابع عشر فمنذ حكم لويس الرابع عشر ازدهر فيها الادب والفن واصبحت محط انظار الادباء والرسامين والموسيقيين ورجال الفكر وهي اليوم تحتوي على مؤسسات ثقافية عريقه ففيها جامعة السوربون وهي من اقدم الجامعات في العالم فيها الاكاديميه الفرنسيه للعلوم ومدرسه الفنون الجميله وبيت الاوبرا ومتحف اللوفر الزاخر باللوحات النادرة وهي مركز عالمي لصناعه الازياء.

Many people agree that Paris is one of the most beautiful tourist cities in the world, but it has been called the City of Lights for a few hundred years because it was an intellectual center and artisan after the seventeenth century. Since the reign of Louis XIV, literature and art flourished and became the focus of the attention of writers, painters, musicians and intellectuals. Today it contains ancient cultural institutions, including the Sorbonne University, one of the oldest universities in the world where the French Academy of Sciences and the School of Fine Arts and the Opera House and the Louvre Museum of rare paintings, a world center for the fashion industry.
